Proud Sponsors of Hemel Hempstead (Camelot) RUFCFor the past 2 years Jay City Finance have been club sponsors of Hemel Hempstead (Camelot) RUFC. Impressed by the clubs grass roots scheme, consistent performances of the first team and welcoming family environment, we have committed to a 3 year sponsorship programme for both the senior sections of the club and separately a sponsorship package for the youth sections. One of the latest success stories from the club is from the Under 10’s: Herts County rugby champions - repeated success for the Hemel Hempstead U10s More rugby silverware at the weekend for the Jay City Finance sponsored U10 Hemel Hempstead youngsters as they win the coveted County Championship cup for the second time. Hosted by North London club Barnet Elizabethans, teams from across Herts came in their droves for the one of highlights of the season with quality rugby from the outset. With their usual flair and discipline, the local boys had what it took to come out on top once more. It's easy to forget the players are so young when they paly with a level of maturity which sets them above many rival clubs. A great display of control and discipline. Opening games against Tring A and B teams, saw a draw for the wizards and a strong win for the Knights. A great start from both teams with particular mention of the Wizards as they continue to develop into a team with a promising future. Good support in the rucks with strength in the driving mauls saw some strong attacking play. The following games unfortunately saw narrow wins for the opposition with some superb rugby from the development squad on the day which was sadly not reflected in the scores. The Knights went on to straight wins againsts Tabards, Bishop Stortford, Hitchin and host club Barnet facong Old Albanians in the final. Beated in the semi-finals by the Oas last year, lined the game to be a must win for the boys. One of the toughest games of the season saw the local heroes win by a single try. County Chapions again!
Camelot U10 Knights shine at Saracens Tournament More success for the Jay City Finance sponsored Hemel Hempstead youth side at the home of north London rugby giants Saracens. Playing on the Premiership team’s 4G pitch, the Camelot boys won all their qualifying games topping their table with straight wins against Sevenoaks, Saracens Amateurs, Peterborough and Barnet; 4-1, 4-3, 6-1 and 5-0. Going top of their table saw them cruise through to the knockout stage due to be held in the Spring. With luck they will bring home the Saracens Cup for the third season running.
